What Do You Look for In Lending Partner?

I once had a vendor partner tell me this… "Brantley, I forget that you have other customers that demand your attention… The way you handle our business makes me think that we are your only customer." To this very day, I remember the customer, the place, and the time of that conversation. In fact, I do my best to live by this standard. This was the best compliment I believe I could have even received. And it’s a testament to how our clients view us as a company. When you do business with us, we want you to think that you are our only customer. So, what do you expect from your lending partner? And, most importantly, are you getting what you expect? I’m not talking about common-sense things either. I’m talking about qualities that will really take care of you. That can be impactful. So, let’s explore why our clients choose us.

 

Customer Attention Strengthens Customer Retention

In an industry of similarity, more often than not, the stand-outs are not the biggest companies, but the companies that focus their attention on satisfying their clients' most simple needs. Our company was founded on this principle and since our inception, we have not deviated from this core philosophy.

 

Let’s Be Reminded Of The Most Obvious First

Every lender is going to remind you how great their service is. They are going to remind you how convenient their process is for you. They are going to remind you how competitive their rates are. How friendly their staff is. How quick they process documentation. The list can go on forever.

 

We believe that all these qualities are essential and are what you should expect, not deserve. You deserve so much more from the lender you call your partner. Think about this for a moment… No lender would suggest to you that their rates are not competitive. No lender would suggest to you that their turn-a-round time is far longer than normal. Absolutely not. It’s comical to even think this.

 

Don’t Take For Granted The Simple Things

What can you get from your lender that can truly make the difference? We ask our clients to rank us all the time. Who better to ask what sets us apart from other lenders than the very ones that trust us every day. So, I’ve compiled a list of key qualities that our clients, both equipment dealers, and their customers, have said helps meet their needs the most. Keep this in mind, these are not considered “program benefits” … that is another topic of interest all together that we will discuss at a later time. Instead, this list below consists of simple things that have made the most impact on our clients.

 

Availability - When you need us, you need us. Sometimes that means after hours. That is why each of our account managers makes their mobile phones available.

 

Live Conversation - When you call our office, you’ll speak with a live person and not a complex voice mail system that will take you 30 minutes to finally work through. Your time is valuable.

 

Returned Calls - We are always on the phone with clients. If you happen to call in and your Account Manager is helping another client, you can be assured a prompt return call within just a few minutes of your message.

 

Email/Text Reply - Many of our clients prefer emails and/or texts as a key form of communication. Our account managers will always reply back to your emails or texts. We always acknowledge that we received it and will be responding promptly to your request.

 

Never Second Guess - Our clients should never have to second guess the status of their project. Whether it is in for quoting, credit or funding. Our objective is to connect with you first. Updating you before you have to take time out of your schedule to make an inquiry. This is key!

 

Lead Generation - Our client entry platform allows us to enter every lead or quote provided to us. This way we can track your project for you from the quote stage, all the way to the funding stage, with real-time updates along the way. Plus, we can generate any report you desire about your specific portfolio of business, helping further your marketing efforts.

 

Industry Specific - As a lender, we provide funding for all kinds of equipment. Our Account Managers are trained to be industry-specific, providing you with a much better experience.

 

Client Advocacy - We help our clients meet their goals. When warranted, we question decisions made by our underwriting team, seeking to find a better way to help you make your sale or for your customer to invest in your equipment.

Are they really representing you as you want to be represented?

 

But perhaps, most importantly, ask yourself this question… Is your lending partner making you feel as though you are their only client? Only you have the answer to that question. We can certainly find the right solution for you.
